The FURITEK TRI-UNITY30 FULLRANGE DRIVE™ brings a new drivetrain architecture to the Axial SCX30, combining a brushless motor, conventional geared transmission, and advanced Furitek FOC ESC in one ultra-compact assembly.
By replacing the traditional center worm-based transmission approach, TRI-UNITY30 opens up a much wider usable speed range. Furitek FOC control delivers ultra-slow crawling precision, while the new geared layout allows significantly higher wheel speed when the terrain calls for it. The result is smoother acceleration and a more natural, realistic driving feel, bringing the driving character of larger 1/24 and 1/18 crawlers to the 1/30 platform.
The integrated layout also places the motor and ESC low in the chassis, dramatically lowering drivetrain mass placement and freeing up valuable space.

In the traditional SCX30 center worm-based layout, mechanical reduction plays a major role in producing slow crawling speeds. Changing the motor and ESC alone leaves that central transmission architecture in place.
TRI-UNITY30 redesigns the transmission and its control system together. Conventional gears handle power transfer to the axles, while Furitek FOC handles precise low-speed motor control. This gives the drivetrain greater freedom to deliver wheel speed without relying on extreme center reduction for crawling control.
The change is specifically in the center drivetrain. It does not describe a replacement of the axle internals.
FULLRANGE DRIVE™ is Furitek's concept for a broad, usable speed range from the same drivetrain. Ease into the throttle for careful tire placement, accelerate smoothly between obstacles, and call on higher wheel speed for loose surfaces or climbs that need momentum.
That continuous range gives the SCX30 a more realistic response to throttle input. Slow technical movement and faster driving become parts of one natural driving experience.
FOC, or Field-Oriented Control, manages the brushless motor's torque-producing current to support smooth, precise operation. In TRI-UNITY30, this control is central to achieving ultra-slow crawling with the new geared transmission.
The transmission still provides mechanical reduction and torque multiplication. FOC adds the fine control needed to use that drivetrain at very low speeds, while preserving access to its wider speed range as throttle input increases.
The motor, transmission, and ESC are designed as one assembly, with the ESC integrated into the transmission package. This brings electronics mass down into the drivetrain area and removes the need to find a separate ESC mounting position higher in the chassis.
The resulting layout is designed to dramatically lower the vehicle's center of gravity compared with conventional SCX30 layouts with higher-mounted drivetrain components and electronics. Keeping this mass low helps the vehicle stay composed on steep climbs, side slopes, and uneven obstacles.
Compact integration also leaves more room for battery placement and chassis layout. The final vehicle balance depends on the complete build, including the battery, chassis, wheels, and axles.
The motor and ESC sit on the same side of the drivetrain assembly. Their mass stays together, allowing the driver to place it toward the front or rear by choosing the drivetrain orientation supported by the chassis and skid setup.
A forward orientation can help keep the front axle loaded during climbing. A rearward orientation gives builders another option for balancing the vehicle around battery placement, terrain, and driving preference.
Low component placement controls mass height. Drivetrain orientation tunes front-to-rear mass distribution. These are two separate advantages of the integrated design.
At $149.99, this package combines the TRI-UNITY30 FULLRANGE DRIVE™ assembly and FUR-2843 aluminum skid plate. The drivetrain is the same as the standard version, with the required skid included for your installation. Use the included skid in place of the stock SCX30 skid.

Choose CORE for value and simple setup. Both versions use the VENOM30 1212 motor platform, a plastic ESC housing, full FuriCar App support, 2S-only operation, and a 5V / 3A BEC. Select NANO CORE 30 for crawling or NANO CORE 30 SPEED for more wheel speed.
Choose NanoModo for a smaller, lighter motor platform, smoother and more precise control, and a CNC aluminum ESC housing.
