FURITEK TRI-UNITY30 FULLRANGE DRIVE TORQUE high-torque FOC drivetrain for Axial SCX30

The FURITEK TRI-UNITY30 FULLRANGE DRIVE™ TORQUE uses the same integrated architecture as the standard TRI-UNITY30: a brushless motor, conventional geared transmission and advanced Furitek FOC ESC in one ultra-compact assembly. The difference is the tune. TORQUE puts more of the drivetrain's range into pulling power at low speed.

On 2S or 3S, the TORQUE version digs in on steep climbs, holds a steady crawl up ledges and keeps pulling when the tires are loaded. Top speed is slightly lower than the standard TRI-UNITY30, but it is still a true FULLRANGE DRIVE™ system, reaching up to 3× the top speed of a stock SCX30 when the trail opens up.

FOC control and the geared center transmission keep it all smooth and quiet, from the first millimeter of throttle to full speed.

TORQUE or Standard?

TRI-UNITY30 TORQUE: more pulling power at low speed, with a slightly lower top speed. Best for technical crawling, steep climbs and heavier builds.
TRI-UNITY30 Standard: higher top speed. Best for drivers who want more momentum and wheel speed on the trail.

Both are full-range FOC drivetrains with the same integrated design, 2S–3S support and FuriCar App tuning.

Why TRI-UNITY30 Is Different

In the traditional SCX30 center worm-based layout, mechanical reduction plays a major role in producing slow crawling speeds. Changing the motor and ESC alone leaves that central transmission architecture in place.

TRI-UNITY30 redesigns the transmission and its control system together. Conventional gears handle power transfer to the axles, while Furitek FOC handles precise low-speed motor control. This gives the drivetrain greater freedom to deliver wheel speed without relying on extreme center reduction for crawling control.

The change is specifically in the center drivetrain. It does not describe a replacement of the axle internals.

With TRI-UNITY30 installed, the integrated motor, transmission and ESC sit much lower in the chassis, significantly reducing the vehicle's center of gravity compared with the stock SCX30 transmission layout.

Furitek FOC: Smooth Power at Any Speed

FOC, or Field-Oriented Control, manages the brushless motor's torque-producing current for smooth, precise and quiet operation. In TRI-UNITY30 TORQUE, it lets the drivetrain deliver strong, steady pull at very low speed without jerky starts.

The transmission provides mechanical reduction and torque multiplication. FOC adds the fine control needed to use that torque at a crawl, while keeping the full speed range available as throttle input increases.

Ultra-Low CG and Selectable Weight Bias

With the ESC integrated into the transmission package, electronics mass moves down into the drivetrain area. There is no need to find a separate ESC mounting position higher in the chassis, and the truck stays composed on steep climbs, side slopes and uneven obstacles.

The motor and ESC sit on the same side of the assembly. Orient the drivetrain to place their mass toward the front to keep the front axle loaded on climbs, or toward the rear to balance around battery placement and your driving style.

Compatibility and Installation

Important Frame Fitment Notice

When installing TRI-UNITY30 TORQUE with Alu Skid in the stock Axial SCX30 frame, minor trimming of the center frame area is required to provide proper clearance.

For a direct installation without frame trimming, use the FUR-2783 - FURITEK MANTIS LCG Competition Chassis Kit for SCX30, available separately.

Compatibility with third-party and aftermarket frames has not yet been verified. Please review your chassis layout, dimensions and installation requirements before purchasing. Additional modifications may be required depending on the frame.

Target platform: Axial SCX30, 1/30 scale.
FUR-2877 (this version): Includes the FUR-2843 Aluminum Skid Plate. The stock Axial SCX30 skid is not compatible.
FUR-2876: Same TORQUE drivetrain without the skid, for drivers who already own the FUR-2843.
Orientation: Front-facing or rear-facing installation depends on skid mounting, chassis clearance and driveshaft fitment.
Power: 2S or 3S LiPo with a 2-pin JST-PH 2.0 battery connector.
