Took a minute to get here but we’ll worth the wait!
Didn’t get more than a session before I bagan having issues with the middle axle gear mesh and rear driveshaft. Otherwise the little beast was keeping up with my heavily modded SCX24 builds very well initially out of the box. I would say my low rating is due to the disappointment in the quality control after purchasing the most expensive RTR in this size. Customer service has been excellent throughout the troubleshooting and warranty process.
I'm a 1/10 guy with a soft spot for 6x6, this little 6x6 machine is brilliant! Not that impressed with the tyre, wheel situation,(not glued)who stays with stock tyres/wheels anyway? It is really capable and very impressive in every way. Thanks.
Howdy All, I recently received my Cayman 6x6 Pro, over all build quality is very high and I am happy with it. Two things that I think for the price should be included, ONE at least put a grill in the front of the body, TWO better/larger tires that don’t slip on the wheels. One thing to be aware of if you install larger tires ( I installed 64 mm diameter tires ) the tires WILL MAKE CONTACT when the suspension is flexed causing the drive train to BIND. To make running larger tires possible the suspension links to the rear axle should be made longer to prevent the tire bind. In order to get clearance between the tires I trimmed the locating tab off of the rear axle housing, then rotated the rear axle portal assembly, doing this allowed the suspension to flex without the tires binding.
