Comparing to hobbywing fusion Pro, there are few inherent disadvantages with Lizard 10.
Firstly is absence of RPM lock. In slow RPM stage, the ESC can only 1.1A from battery to motor, this means the torque generate from the motor is very lest. The motor can easily be stop when external force apply. Personal recommendation is increase motor supply current in low speed control.
Secondly, it is clearly notice when motor operating from 0 to ~17K RPM speed range, it not fully FOC control. The FOC control only works from 0 ~ 200 RPM, then the ESC will turn into 6 stage motor control, to increase control efficiency. But this is not I intended to, I am suppose the motor can be fully FOC control from low speed to high speed. This also brings out a problem is the transition stage from FOC switch to normal control, a noticeable speed ramp is appear. Drastically reduce control experience.
Thirdly, when motor run in high speed, extreme switching noice occur. regarding to this price point of the ESC, this problem is not exactable, expressively is using in ornamental use RC models, do consider as design failure. This problem can also be solve by fully for control.

Final recommendation is, I think the development team can get a hobby wing fusion pro as a reference, combine the good fact to lizard 10.

I bought the furitek lizard ten in combination with the purple Holmes Hobbies stubby teamspec. And the furitek performs outstanding it is smooth and quit you almost can't hear it is an outrunner motor im realy satisfied with my purchase from furitek and will buy more from them in the future.

I have been using furitek esc/motor combos in my SCX24s for a long time and they have been phenomenal. So when they dropped the 1/10 version I had to try it out to see if it worked the same, and it does. The app makes it really easy to tune your esc and motor to your liking so I would opt in for the Bluetooth option (not sure if the one from the 24s works on it.) The power is crazy on the high/low ends and the FOC is amazing. I put this combo into a vanquish phoenix and it was a definite upgrade. Can’t go wrong with furitek!
